Obesity, tobacco use and stress are the most common hazards to health in the American workforce. In addition to the direct harm they cause to individual wellness, they also provoke many indirect issues related to health care.

Education will be necessary to teach employees the relationship between activity, diet and health and to demonstrate how this can be changed to encourage physical wellness. Health promotion and wellness program supervision will be necessary to ensure that injury does not develop and exercise programs are introduced safely.

Appropriate education in physiology, sports medicine or an equivalent and have a current CPR/First Aid certification should verify that health promotion and wellness programs are operated safely. The Health Risk Assessment should be checked to ensure the participant has agreed to a referral, elected exercise options and verified that there are no contravening health issues that preclude an exercise program.

Staff should monitor heart rate and blood pressure to protect health promotion and wellness program goals during all intervention procedures. Smoking cessation is one of the most difficult health risk issues to tackle because nicotine is considered to be one of the most addictive substances. Counseling should be available for the participant at any time.

Not all cessation programs work the same way with everyone. A qualified counselor should recognize individual differences and be able to match cessation programs with individual preferences. Diet plans, exercise programs, and activities that preclude smoking need to be presented as part of the cessation program. Relapses are common; therefore, a maintenance plan is mandatory. Nicotine substitution patches, sprays, gums or other medicinal options should be included in the counseling session to support cessation efforts.

I think TNA might become a threat to WWE in the near future.

TNA already has a fantastic tag team division, knockouts division and an X Division, It has better storylines than WWE In My Opinion as well and is the second most popular Wrestling Promotion in the US.It’s already one the same level as WWE and In My Opinion, It is the #1 weekly wrestling show, WWE is a big time company but new people start watching TNA and stop watching WWE every day. TNA is catching up fast and I don’t think it will be long before it reaches WWE’s level. I mean, It has much better wrestling and feuds, They often push younger talent, for example, AJ Styles, Hernandez and Samoa Joe and it could very well catch up with WWE in less than 10 years, unless ROH goes live stream television and attracts more viewers, I think TNA will reach the level of WWE before any other promotion.

A press release is an announcement written in a news style.

Look for and learn the Associated press’ "Five Ws" News style of: Who, What, Where, When and Why.

Then use your creativity to write your press release using that style.

If you are really good you can get all five Ws into the first sentence e.g. "John Smith, (who) President of Miami’s (where) Action Agency (what) announced today (when) the opening of their new branch (what) on Biscayne Boulevard" (where).

This is news. It may not be earth shattering news, certainly not front page news, but if you are the business editor and it is a slow news day, this release will get ink.

Your second sentence should be a direct quote from the "who" person in the first sentence. "Mr Smith said, "Our agency opened the branch on Biscayne Blvd because it is a main thoroughfare in the city".

In the AP news style, stories are written like a pyramid. The tight essentials are at the top of the story. As the story progresses, more and more, not so important deails, that broaden the story are shown.

News is what is NEW. So twist your press release so that what you are ANNOUNCING is really something new.

Using the technique I just gave you, I have had countless stories in national as well as local print and broadcast media. It is the classic example of the style that a good press release should have.

So, it seems that Yahoo publishes these online articles, which will be followed by a "Leave a Comment". The article always shows the first 50 comments that were posted, and while it invites you to leave a comment… it seems like there is no way to see any comment beyond the first 50. Is there anyway of seeing the additional comments, or is Yahoo more interested in self promotion, than in giving people a means for expression of speech?

As far as I know, there’s no way to see more than the 1st 50 comments but you’re right, we should be able to see them all and it’s discouraging to submit something if no one’s going to see it.

kittyz, as long as one of your parents is willing to sign legal contracts in your behalf, your age is not a barrier to publication. Your lack of life experience and your middle-grade writing skills may be the major obstacles between you and publication.

I strongly, strongly advise against paying to publish fiction other than poetry. You’ll be out hundreds of dollars and will sell only to friends and family.

Many legitimate small publishers still deal directly with the author. Once you have a completed, polished manuscript*, you can figure out if you should seek a big "name brand" publisher, in which case you need an agent, or if a small publisher will do just fine.

Visit a bookstore. Who published the books in your genre? Find them in the most recent edition of Writer’s Market, Literary Marketplace (US), or Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook (UK). Each listing will indicate “agented submissions only” or not.

Remember, reputable agents and publishers charge the author NOTHING (although some agents deduct expenses from the first check). The moment an agent or publisher says they need payment for some service, that’s the announcement that they’re not legitimate.

You can determine whether an agent or publisher is the real thing rather than a scammer making profits from author payments at Preditors and Editors (http://www.invirtuo.cc/prededitors/).
